Radnor Hunt Stables, a thriving 29-horse boarding barn with a state of the art indoor arena, is seeking an Assistant Barn Manager. In this position you will play a leadership role in the daily operation of the barn and the indoor arena as well as planning and management of shows and clinics. This is an opportunity to further your development as a professional at one of the top boarding facilities in Chester County.
Areas of Responsibility
- Serve as the primary point of contact for boarder questions and concerns
- Assist barn manager with oversight of the horses’ health, grooming, nutrition and medical treatments
- Assist barn manager with oversight of and assistance with the care, cleaning and maintenance of the barn
- Assist barn manager with oversight of support staff
- Facility management of the indoor arena
- Serve as Barn Manager on Duty at least twice per week
- Daily exercise riding of clients’ horses
- Recordkeeping and invoice reporting
- Oversee show and clinic administration
- Interface with clubhouse staff on administrative and marketing tasks
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
- Can-do, solution-minded, positive attitude
- Experience as a competitor or other sustained equestrian experience
- Basic equine and human first aid
- Basic computer expertise and proficiency with Google Sheets and Docs
Compensation commensurate with experience, ability to move up in the organization, including medical benefits
